It's been a long couple days here that included a trip to see Dr Keller, X-rays and anxious moments. Mossy was over due and we just weren't seeing any sign of labor. It is only safe to have an expectant Momma be only so overdue before puppies will not survive. With the weekend upon us, it was time to find out what was going on.
X-rays revealed that Mossy had just one puppy and it was breech. We were very concerned she would not be able to deliver normally. We have only experienced one other singleton but understand how intense delivery can be.
We were down to the last hours before we needed to interfere with the natural process. Mossy proved us all wrong and had an uneventful delivery of a 1.31 lb chocolate female. Both momma and baby are doing well.
Thankful for all our blessings!
