Puppies are nearing 5 weeks old and having a great time in the big kennel. Yesterday, Rufus met his Dad for the first time. His forever name is "Holden" and truly seems to fit him. What a great moment to see this little wonder gaze up at his dad for the first time. The bond between Lab and Dad has begun. The time we spend with our parents gives us the opportunity to make sure our puppies have every advantage when they transition home.Holden had his dinner then we watched as the crew began forming the infamous puppy pile for a nice full tummy slumber. These weeks always go by quickly. They will have first vaccinations and microchip on August 20th and by the weekend of the 25th some will venture home.
We have 2 females and 2 males available as we are looking for the perfect fit for Holden's brothers and sisters. We had hoped for a chocolate female to hold back and then retire Rayne, now we are considering holding back Barney (chocolate male) to add to our furmily. If we do, Rayne will surely retire to our bedroom and rule the roost there.
Happy Friday to all!
