These two boys have been so much fun. We are down to the last few weeks with them before they join their families. Enjoy this collection of photos from birth until today!
Moon's little ones are growing so fast. They are all over 3 lbs at 2 weeks old. Our first puppy family visited to meet their little one and it was overwhelming for all. I say this so often, we are very blessed to have so many patient, kind and loving families at the CaveInn.
Enjoy these furry bundles!
Mossy is nearing her final weeks before puppies! She is the happiest pregnant Lab and continues to wiggle at any glance. We never see her without an antler in her mouth. We took her out to play in the leaves this week and she thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful Fall smells!
Seems like we were just saying hello to these beautiful babies. The time has come, their families are ready to begin a new life with their best friends. It was only fitting to summarize this time with a song by Lulu considering we named each puppy after a famous big band era singer.
Enjoy a look into our time with Pidge's puppies!
A fantastic day in the woods for Mossy! Finally, a break in the weather to venture out for a first shed hunt of the year. Just one horn was recovered, but the ground Mossy ran was amazing. This strong, majestic girl was a machine even in the deepest snow.
Pidge and Robin's last puppy flew home this week to California. We really grew fond of this little man. He was so easy to crate train, house break, and leash train. He is well-bahaved mild mannered Lab just like his mom and dad. One day before Pidge retires we will hold back a puppy for this temperament to continue.
We said our final good-byes and although it was sad, we were so thrilled to have had the time to spend with him and prepare him for his long journey to his new wonderful home.
God speed, Arty!
Mossy is well on her way to recovery form whelping her 9 beautiful puppies. This weekend was pick up time. This is bitter sweet for us as we have spent so many hours with these little furballs and watched them grow from birth to walking, talking, eating, pooping and playing machines. We've handled them from day one, weighing, clipping nails, pre-stressing and of course the snuggles after bathtime.
The last puppy born was a sweet silver boy we named "Clover" and he is now Stoney Bojangles. He left this morning with his dad and although he was one of the smallest in the litter, he's a mighty little guy. I had some fun yesterday in the fallen leaves and long grass (need to mow today) with Stoney. Enjoy a glimpse of one puppy from birth to new home. Farewell all puppies!
The Midwest weather has been perfect for the last couple weeks. Puppies were able to experience the first plunge in the pool. The floatie helps ease them in and once they get the paws going there is no stopping them.
SunDown is due any day. Her puppies will be the first litter in 2014!
Turn your speakers on and enjoy watching her grow beautifully!
Blessings to all and to all a Merry Christmas!
SunDown delivered 7 beautiful puppies November 12, 2013. All are nursing well and SunDown is settling in to her new Mother role.
This rainbow color litter has begun exploring all around them. The weather has not been the best to reach too far, but enjoy this collection of video clips and photos from the past couple weeks.
Ever wonder what to do with a pack of Labs on a hot July afternoon?
I could not help myself last night when I was reviewing the video from this week. How did I miss this pile? I must have been intensely focussed on the pups.
I'm being followed by a Moon Doggy...
Moon enjoyed the crisp winter morning in the woods. She explored kicked up the snow and found herself in new snow a few times. She is growing into a beautiful white girl!
